Flash-Spun material · Protection against moisture
Desiccant packaging
Breathable HDPE Flash-Spun substrate for desiccant sachets and strips in pharmaceutical, food, electronics and industrial applications.

A three-dimensional web of very fine HDPE fibres (0.1 to 10 µm, according to the manufacturer), bonded by heat and pressure. It lets water vapour through and keeps out dust, micro-organisms and liquid water.
Pharmaceuticals and health
Challenge: moisture degrades active ingredients and supplements, and fibre shedding from the desiccant creates a risk of cross-contamination.
Solution: clean material with very low fibre shedding and a microbial barrier.
Food grade
Challenge: mould, caking and oxidation in packaged food; the substrate must be suitable for direct food contact.
Solution: 100% HDPE with no binders, high breathability and food contact references (FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and Regulation (EU) No 10/2011).
Precision electronics
Challenge: micro-oxidation and the “popcorn” effect when soldering components; static must be dissipated without scratching sensitive surfaces.
Solution: anti-static treated versions with a smooth, low-shedding surface that reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge.
Industrial and marine logistics
Challenge: “container rain” from condensation; deliquescent desiccants liquefy and cause corrosive leaks if the wrapping gives way.
Solution: a membrane with high hydrostatic and mechanical strength that holds the saturated liquid during handling.

Continuity of supply
A more diversified supply
Having more than one source for a critical consumable reduces the risk of stoppages due to lack of material. With stock in Valencia, the material is available in Spain.
Laminates for each desiccant
Continuous-fibre Flash-Spun HDPE, with laminates defined by the manufacturer for each type of desiccant: industrial, electronics, food and container.
Technical documentation
FDA 21 CFR 177.1520, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011, REACH SVHC, RoHS and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class I. The manufacturer monitors more than 10 parameters in its own laboratory, according to its documentation.
Sustainability
- High-density polyethylene mono-material: it can be recycled without separating layers.
- The manufacturer’s own recycling programme to recover the material, according to its documentation.
